Monómeros Colombo Venezolanos S.A, might return to Venezuela’s administration, according to Gustavo Petro, president-elect of Colombia. The company, owned by Petroquímica de Venezuela S.A. and based in Colombia, was intervened in 2021 by the administration of Iván Duque. The Caribbean Community - Caricom, urged the U.S. government to eliminate unilateral coercive measures against Venezuela, which prevents Caribbean countries from the PetroCaribe initiative benefits.
Last month, oil exports spiked 61%, after exporting oil to Europe after two years. The US gave “green light” for Eni (Italy) and Repsol (Spain) to export Venezuelan crude according to PDVSA.
